Academic in residence:
Dr. Ian H. King earned his doctorate in Business Administration and Management from George Fox University. He holds an MBA in Finance from Chapman University and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from the University of Southern California (go Trojans!).
Dr. King has over 30 years healthcare and high-tech industry experience working in in finance, contract negotiation, and data analysis. Dr. King is active in his community and has served on a variety of local and regional boards and commissions, including as an elected Beaverton City Councilor from 2010-2014.
He is an active member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association where he has held various leadership roles including the Oregon board of directors from 2007-2009. He is also a member of the National Association of Business Economists, the Academy of Management, and the Society for Business Ethics.
Whew! That’s a lot of words. However, it doesn’t mention the most important parts. Ian is married to the most loving and forgiving female on the planet, his wife Kim. Kim and Ian have a wonderful six year-old son, Samuel. Both serve as daily reminders of God’s grace on Earth.
